A small scale facility would be approximately 1,000 feet in height with a generating capacity of ten megawatts to one gigawatt based upon and scaled to the specific requirements and need of a given project; with an initial capital outlay ranging from 25 million for a single unit to 250 million for a small scale multiple unit facility. Assuming that a given plant is producing one gigawatt (1,000 megawatts) of constant base load dispatchable power and that the electricity produced is being sold for 10¢ per kilowatt hour, the annual income would be approximately $876,000,000 (US). Since the anticipated initial capital investment required to build a small scale multiple unit facility is approximately $250,000,000 (US) the cost of initial investment could be recovered in the first full year of operation.
As a rule, a development cycle based on ¼ scale or single unit increments is the approach to be used in developing all WINDWALKER power plants whether or not they will remain a small scale facility or ultimately be developed into full scale facilities with multiple units. A given facility’s size and output capacity would be predicated solely on the immediate and ultimate future determinate needs.
